Isabel Grondin, MSc, BScPT, DSA, CAT(C)
Isabel is joining the Start Line group with a focus on using a hands-on approach and an intricate knowledge of the sports medicine model of care to guide her clients through the healing processes of their orthopaedic conditions.
Isabel is a Certified Athletic Therapist and a Physiotherapist with a Certificate in Sport Physiotherapy. She also graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters in Science specialized in collagenous and non-collagenous protein production.
Isabel has been consulting with Brentwood College, Shawinigan Lake School, and Rugby Canada for many years and is a Faculty Member at Camosun College in the Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy located at the Pacific Institute of Sport Excellence in Victoria since 2008.
She has had many opportunities to work on the international scene, more specifically at the 1999 and 2011 Pan-Am Games, the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics, the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and as the Chief Therapist for the Canadian contingent at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
She is a World Rugby working group member in the area of Pitch Side Care Management, and works at developing medics as well as educators worldwide in the area of on-field injury management.
Isabel is married to Dave, and has twin boys, Brendan and Zachary.
